Positive affirmations are such an amazing tool to use when trying to combat those nasty stories in your mind.
It’s easy to get caught up in those stories you have been telling yourself over and over again. Their presence doesn’t bring any truth to your storyline – but the more you buy into the same story and repeat it the truer it feels.
So, I’ve listed some of my favourite Motherhood Positive Affirmations – Use them in your time of need!
This too shall pass
This is such a popular affirmation, especially among mothers. I love it because it’s a great one to repeat when you are really in the thick of it and think that this will be your life forever.
Maybe your baby has been unsettled all day, or a toddler has been sick, and you just don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. Surrender to the process.
There is a light mama, repeat – this too shall pass.
My baby loves me
Of course, you know your baby loves you. She absolutely adores you and needs for so many things. Cuddles, snuggles, love, attention, feeding, bathing and changing… you are an important part of your baby’s life.
Your baby doesn’t even really know anyone exists outside of you. In fact, she thinks she is apart of you. How lovely is that? So now remember when you talk to yourself -talk as if you are talking to your baby… Your baby LOVES you!!
I am a good mother
So many mothers stress about whether they are a good mother. It’s one of the biggest things I have stressed about. Especially when comparing myself to other mothers.
This one will pop up more for mothers who don’t feel like they have enough support. No one to reassure you that you are doing a great job and that you are a good mother.
I am here to tell you that you are such a good mother – make sure you tell yourself that, often!
I can trust my mother’s intuition
Your intuition is apart of you and is wisdom that you can use to navigate motherhood. Many mothers have reported using mother’s intuition to save their babies life – when Dr’s wouldn’t listen to them that something was wrong.
You may call it instinct or your gut instinct. Trust that intuition and repeat this affirmation daily!
As I always say – Mother knows best!
I am doing an amazing job
You are here seeking out positive affirmations to help you be more positive and relaxed – you are doing an amazing job.
Whenever you are feeling like you are not – simply repeat this affirmation – as many times as you need to hear it!
I’ve found the more I surround myself with positive affirmations and use them in my daily practice the happier and more calm I become.
The more I start to believe these affirmations over some of the damaging stories that I have repeated to myself over and over again.
Someone wise once told me about “good enough parenting”. He said there is no perfect parent… mother or father – but if you care and are trying your best that is good enough.
YOU HAVE GOT THIS!
I hope that you find these affirmations helpful. Let me know which one is your favourite?
